Trash Day: Chairs & A Mirror March 24, 2010 **A big thanks to Autumn from Design Dump for sending in her fabulous “trash” for this week’s feature!** Does this need an introduction??? For some of you, no. For the rest of you, it’s none other than the Williams-Sonoma Hampstead Mirror. Autumn got this $795 mirror for only $20!! I know, I know–pick your jaw up off of the floor. Yes, it’s missing the mirror, but I can assure you that it’s not a $775 fix, so even if it runs $100 (which it shouldn’t) on top of the $20 she paid, she’ll be okay. I really wanted to hate her when she showed me this fabulous find, but she’s such a great designer and party planner that you just can’t! Want to see this mirror in action??? Look no further than Averill from Odi Et Amo, who used it in her fabulous powder room makeover. Click here to see more of her powder room. This mirror is so fabulous, I don’t think it could be wrong in any color, and you can’t beat $20. Great find. Autumn also sent these two chairs she scored for $30 each. LOVE. These chairs just look super comfortable, and I love the slight detail on the legs. She saw these chairs from my previous post and is using them as the inspiration for their makeover. I absolutely LOVE these chairs and while hers aren’t exactly the same, I think the style will look great with this linen/burlap & black frame combination. Almost any color would look great, but I think solids in textured fabrics would really make this stand out–think something like velvet, denim (white only, in my book), or linen. If you want to splurge, this would be pretty fabulous, too.Neiman MarcusAnother week of great stuff–thanks again, Autumn for your participation!Have you found a great piece that you’d like to share? Email me so I can feature it here! Trash Day is all about highlighting your previously unwanted piece of second (or third or fourth) hand furniture, so send in your fabulous unfinished find. One person’s trash can always be another person’s treasure–click the “Contact Me” link above to email me! **this post has been edited to reflect the fact that Autumn’s mirror is actually the $795 one, not the $595, which means it’s an even more mind blowing find!!!!** Share this: Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window) Related 22 Comments on Trash Day: Chairs & A Mirror Beth@The Stories of A to Z March 24, 2010 at 9:13 am (8 years ago) Great finds. Last week I was a large dresser that I could have turned into a beautiful piece. However, I didn’t have a use for it so I left it. Those are terrific chairs, btw.
