IKEA EIVOR…A MUST HAVE! April 17, 2012 I’m in love this $20 blanket. It’s been out at Ikea for a few months now, but I finally picked one up and let me tell you, it’s a must have. Unfortunately it seems like anytime I love something at Ikea they discontinue it pretty quickly, so I suggest you get yourself one & sooner than later. The thick B&W stripe is modern & classic, and it’s like, a real knit throw. Not quite a chunky knit, but still, it’s knit, it’s soft..and did I mention it’s only $20?? It also looks much higher end than what you’d expect from Ikea (with regard to textiles) and is great for styling and actual functional purposes! I’m using mine as a throw for a chair in my living room & it’s perfect. This is one of those things I’d actually buy a duplicate of so I can be covered if/when the original gets dirty, torn, etc. Would also look super cute as a baby blanket (or in a nursery!) and could possibly even be made into a pillow…options are endless. Needless to say, it’s my current fave. I love to see pieces transformed, and I’m going to have to get information for the upholsters that you use (since I’m in Atlanta too)! Can’t wait to see more…. I’m making an IKEA run soon for some more cheep curtains for a low-budget project, so hopefully I’ll score! xoxo- Cris Reply Karla @ {The Classy Woman} April 19, 2012 at 11:02 pm (6 years ago) I found you via Strictly Simple Style. This looks like a great find. It’s a classic and would last for years if washed carefully. I’m with you on duplicates. I bought a pair of sandals 2 summers ago that are still in good condition but I was wishing I had bought a second back-up pair since I wear them so much! I’ll have to check out this throw next time I’m at Ikea. Reply Bernadette @ B3hd May 2, 2012 at 6:54 pm (6 years ago) I have a rug that almost matches the stripes perfectly. I love IKEA so much for the randomness that ends up meshing so well with the randomness in my home (smile).
