Before and After: Desk/Console March 18, 2010 This has been done so long and I never shared it! I loved this desk the first moment I laid eyes on it. It had these old stickers on it that weren’t the easiest to get off. A little elbow grease and an electric sander finally did the trick! I love the way it turned out! The thing I like best is that I was able to refinish the gold caps on the feet. They were covered with a tacky multi-colored urethane, but I got it all of the old fashioned way. I think the original, cleaned up hardware looks amazing next to the glossy black paint job. Check the gloss and the paper. I used scrapbook paper I had on hand to line the drawer. Love the print. What do you think???
