Before and After: Desk/Console

This has been done so long and I never shared it!  I loved this desk the first moment I laid eyes on it.

It had these old stickers on it that weren't the easiest to get off.  A little elbow grease and an electric sander finally did the trick!

I love the way it turned out!  The thing I like best is that I was able to refinish the gold caps on the feet.  They were covered with a tacky multi-colored urethane, but I got it all of the old fashioned way.  I think the original, cleaned up hardware looks amazing next to the glossy black paint job.

Check the gloss and the paper.  I used scrapbook paper I had on hand to line the drawer.  Love the print.

What do you think???

Now THAT's what I'm talkin' about!
Girl the console alone is amazing, but that mirror! Wowee!! It just makes the whole look.

Oh my gosh, beeeaaaautiful! I could use one of those in my place!
I love the mirror above it, too.
It also looks like you have a promising white vintage desk in your garage... what are the plans for that?

Holy cow, that turned out stunning! It's so lovely on its own but the way you styled it with the sunburst, lamp and basket really make it chic!

Ooh girl...that is sharp! I love the black knobs and feet. It's styled perfectly with the lamp and mirror. All that's missing is a pretty vase of flowers. PERFECT!
