What’s On My Table . . .

I made this for dinner tonight and it was soooo good! I hate when meat doesn’t look appetizing in photos, but I had to share this anyway because it was MUCH better than it looked. I found it on Allrecipes and I was able to make it with things I already had on hand–worcestershire, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, lemon juice, EVOO (my substitution) and that’s it! I used boneless pork chops, because that’s what I had, but I read the reviews and people say it’s great with chicken as well. I love Allrecipes, because I can adjust the recipe(s) according to other peoples’ reviews, and I can also search for a recipe with ingredients I have on hand.     Two things attract me to this recipe – the fact that we all have those bits and pieces on hand (yay!) and also that it bakes the pork. I get a bit nervous with broiling or pan-frying in case the meat isn’t done… this looks great!

    I get nervous too, especially since having a VERY bad joke played on me years ago involving UNCOOKED CHICKEN while working at Outback. Oh, God, it was awful. This, however, was good. I took some people’s advice and cooked it for less time, and then broiled for a few minutes. Easy.

    Oooh, I used to have a George Foreman and need another one SO BAD!!! I always forget when I’m in Target, but I LOVED that thing! Clean up was so easy, and my burgers used to be the BOMB! Thanks for reminding me . . . I’ll have to try the steaks one day. BTW-you’re still up???? 🙂

    This looks like a really good recipe-I am definitely going to try it.
    Just had a look at your kitchen renovation and what an amazing transformation. We have just finsihed renovating our kitchen too and even though it took so long it is so worth it isn’t it! Would love it if you could come by and have a look.

    Yum! Though my daughter is a vegetarian, cooking is made that much harder at my house!
